Is Daniel Jones the New York Giants' long-term answer at QB?

Updated: Nov 1, 2022

Once upon a time in a galaxy not too far away, Daniel Jones was listed as a bust. His rookie season was promising, as the former Duke Blue Devil threw 24 touchdown passes to just 12 interceptions.

However, once 2020 and 2021 came around, Jones and the turnover bug reared its ugly head for the G-Men. Jones had more turnovers than TD passes in 2020, and he only threw 10 TD passes in 11 games for the Giants last season.

But, in 2022, Jones and the Giants are a surprising 6-and-1 to start the year. Much of that has to do with Jones averaging almost 6 yards per carry, en route to 29 first down runs and 3 rushing TDs. He also has a career-high in both QB Rating and Adjusted QB Rating.

And, according to Pro Football Focus, Jones leads the league in adjusted completion percentage (accounting for drops) at 81.2 percent.

Perhaps Jones is the long-term answer for the Giants after all? Make sure to comment below your thoughts!
