Just two Aprils ago, the New York Jets had the No. 2 overall draft pick. Instead of selecting Justin Fields, the Jets decided to go with Zach Wilson.
Well, that QB decision isn’t going so well for the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets.
According to Pro Football Focus, Fields has the best overall grade for all of the quarterbacks of the 2021 NFL Draft class. Wilson, meanwhile, has the worst Expected Points Added statistic of the four first-round QBs: Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones, Fields, and himself.
Over the last two weeks, Wilson is in dead-last according to the PFF overall grade. It’s even worse for the former BYU quarterback.
When under pressure, he has the worst PFF grade. When pressured, there’s more than a 13% chance that Wilson will either fumble or throw a pick.
The worst is this chart. Just look at how bad his EPA and Completion Percentage Over Expected is this season.
